Meet the Maker: Hannah Hitchens

Hannah Hitchens has a background in fashion and now works as a garment repair specialist, using her skills to extend the life of clothing through thoughtful, minimal mending.

 

As part of our Things Matter Incubator Programme, we work closely with Hannah—supplying her with pieces that just need a little love to shine again.

Her approach focuses on preserving the integrity of each garment, offering a gentler, more sustainable alternative to upcycling that keeps clothes in circulation without overhauling them completely.

 

With every stitch, she proves that repair is a powerful act of care and creativity.
